Who Am I

I was born Feb. 22, 1732 the first son for Augustine and second wife Mary Ball________, on the estate in Westmoreland Co., VA. At the age of 20 I was charged with training the militia in the quarter assingned to me.
I carried a message from Gov. Robert Dinwiddie of VA. to the French moving into Ohio country.

I will post the answer on friday if no one guesses it first.

What is My Name?

I am the oldest US Cathedral. I was established as a parish in 1720. The fleur de lis has been a symbol of the city in which I reside providing a link to the French royalty and providing Catholics a symbol of Mary. The State flag depicts a pelican, which since ancient times has served as a symbol of the Catholic Church. The pelican, often depicted in church art and architecture-especially in association with tabernacles-represents Holy Mother Church because the bird has a reputation of self-sacrifice, connected to the legend that it is willing to wound itself to feed blood to her young.
