Tony's retirement

This coming Sunday 12/14, just a two day after his 44th Birthday,
Tony is saying good bye to the Navy.
After many years of service as an active duty and as a reservist, his final day is just a few days ahead. He must be feeling somewhat sentimental? Or maybe saying it is about time…
He is retiring as a senior chief, E8, just one rank away from highest any enlisted man can achieve. Many written and physical exams during his years, it is quite an accomplishment.
I think his wish was to have the day quietly and gracefully all by himself…
Sorry, it is not gonna happen, we all need to recognize your achievement.
Tony, all of us thank you very much for what you have given to this country, it is beyond words.
No more ironing your camouflage uniforms (if you ever did that on your own…), no more weekend drills and most of all, they can not send you to the awful wars.
Enjoy every minute of the life after retirement and congratulations from the bottom of my heart.

hey Tony. Want to go on a cruise! You'd have to go on one of those big things that float on water - I think they call it a ship! I know you never saw one in the Navy, but maybe now that you are a civillian, you could try it out!

Congrats, and thank you for representing our family and our country! You are my hero!

Thanks for the warm sentiment, Ikuyo. Although, I had planned to write my memoirs here, you stole my thunder. No worries, though. It's been one heck of a wild ride!!!
