Who Am I?
I am the largest Catholic church in the United States and the 8th largest religious structure in the world. I opened in 1959 although I was not yet completed. I was designated as a national Historic Landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. I am the Patronal Catholic Church of the United States. In 2008, during his apostolic pilgrimage to the United States, Pope Benedict XVI bestowed the Golden Rose upon me.

Very good mom it is Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.( Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception).

We went there on the the Feast of the Assumption last year. it was incredible! If you ever get the chance, go se it!
